A Bead and a Prayer Workshop
Psalm 46:10 invites us to be still so we can know God and experience God’s deep love for us. But while that sounds lovely and simple, this invitation isn’t always easy. Our minds wander. We’re not sure how to be still. We feel awkward. We wonder if God is even there.
Prayer beads might help. Prayer beads can serve as a tool to help us improve our focus, quiet our minds, and develop a comfort level with stillness.
Please join Kristen E Vincent as Cathedral Bookstore hosts a "A Bead and a Prayer Workshop" on Saturday February 11 from 10AM to 12PM in Child Hall in The Cathedral of Saint Philip. The workshop will be based on Kristen's book, A Bead and a Prayer: A Beginner’s Guide to Protestant Prayer Beads.
During the workshop, each participant will follow along to make a full set of Anglican prayer beads. All necessary materials will be provided on the day of the event and are included in the ticket cost. Kristen will also reference other books:
