The Episcopal Church Service Cross is based on ancient Crusader's Cross, or Jerusalem Cross, the five-fold cross symbolic of the five wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ at his crucifixion. The small crosses symbolize the wounds on the hands and feet, and the large central cross the spear wound in His side.
The words on the front of the cross are "Christ Died for You" taken from the Service of Holy Communion: "Take and eat this in remembrance that Christ died for you and feed on him in your heart by faith with thanksgiving." On the back are the words "Episcopal Service Cross."
Size: 1" diameter, made of pewter with a 24" rhodium chain and gift boxed.
